      = Downgraded support for some plugins

      The following plugins have been downgraded from GA to Community support, and have been removed as embedded wrappers. You can still use them via oci:// references in your configuration.

      * backstage-community-plugin-quay => oci://...
      * backstage-community-plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-quay-dynamic => oci://...
      * backstage-community-plugin-tekton => oci://...
      * roadiehq-scaffolder-backend-argocd-dynamic => oci://...

      (TODO: replace the oci artifact references once we know the values after 1.11 RC. Search for artifacts and tags at https://github.com/orgs/redhat-developer/packages?q=scaffolder-backend-quay etc. )

      Goal

      Per PM/Eng sync call on 01/12, we'd like to be more cautious about removing plugins we have decided will be reverted to a community support level.

      Per Program call on 01/28, we'd NOW like to be less cautious about removing plugins we have decided will be reverted to a community support level.

      These plugins will remain as wrappers and be removed in 1.11 1.10, after announcing the plan in 1.9.

      GA in 1.8: remove in 1.11 1.10

      • backstage-community-plugin-tekton
      • roadiehq-scaffolder-backend-argocd-dynamic

      Work to be performed for 1.11 1.10:

      • remove wrappers from the RHDH repo
      • provide documentation / Release Note text about how to migrate to the community versions (oci://ghcr.io instead of embedded wrapper)
