Epic Goal
- The goal of this epic is to productise (test & document) the generic ephemeral volumes feature. Generic ephemeral volumes allow any CSI driver to provide ephemeral volumes to pods.

Why is this important?
- Some customers would like to leverage their storage backend (via CSI) to host ephemeral volumes
- HostPath, emptyDir don't allow to set quotas on the ephemeral volumes which can lead to node capacity issues.
- Worker nodes may not have local large disk capacity.
- It brings value added to ephemeral volumes (snapshot, clone, etc)
- The feature GAed upstream (1.23)
