We would like to know about the availability of the GenericEphemeralVolume feature in OpenShift.

The OpenShift 4.6 is based on Kubernetes 1.19 and the GenericEphemeralVolume feature was introduced in Kubernetes 1.19, 1.20 as an alpha feature(need to enabled manually) and seems to have progressed to Beta and enabled by default from 1.21 which would be based in OpenShift 4.8.

Therefore, till we have the OpenShift 4.8 released (assuming it would be enabled by default) and since it is more of a storage vendor-specific feature(AFAIK cannot be tested without having a supported storage vendor), 

The ask here is if this is supported/enabled on any version of OpenShift and/or can it be enabled by creating a KubeletConfig?

The Red Hat documentation doesn't have any information about the same yet.
