Description: #REF!
Description: With RH318VT in Ravello, it is very easy for a student's mouse to get trapped in the virtual machine. Although the header of the virtual machine indicates that the mouse can be released by pressing Shift+F12, this will not actually release the mouse in Ravello. The following procedure needs to be done instead:
1. Click Ravello's "Show Keyboard" button.
2. Using Ravello's keyboard, press <ctrl><alt><f6> (Note: in some cases it may be necessary to first press <shift><f12> in Ravello).
3. Toggle off the <ctrl> and <alt> keys in Ravello's keyboard.
4. Log in as the root user.
5. Kill off the remote-viewer process: pkill -x remote-viewer
6. Using Ravello's keyboard, press <ctrl><alt><f1> to return to the graphical environment.
7. Toggle off the <ctrl> and <alt> keys in Ravello's keyboard.
8. Click Ravello's "Hide Keyboard" button.
So if VT students actually follow step 5 of "Practice: Migrating a Virtual Machine" (SG 317), their mouse will get trapped and they won't be able to initiate the migration without first killing off remote-viewer. I propose changing the instructions to have students ssh into the rhelX VM and run the ping command through the ssh session.
