Description: Description: There is insufficient information given to build and create the beeper-ui:v1 container. Without knowledge of where npm puts the "build" directory it's pretty hard to copy it in the execution step (inspection of the nodejs-16:1 image does give a slight clue for a best guess). However, without working knowledge of nginx the execution step is impossible. How/why would one know: - to copy the nginx.conf file and where to? - where to copy the build directory? - to execute the nginx command? - and what its commandline options are? ("daemon off;" really??) Nothing is said in the lab instructions. No hints, tips, clues, or useful Readme's are provided. The descriptions within the registry images are not helpful. Also, if containers don't build, there is little to troubleshoot, i.e., no logs. While building and working with practical examples is very instructive, this course is supposed to be about an introduction to OpenShift, Containers, and Podman, not how to use/build postgresql databases or websites using nginx and javascript. Navigating those application speed-bumps and road-blocks detract from learning the titular material. The student is not going to be able to crack open a book or Google the answer for those things while taking EX188.
