This release introduces generally available support for OpenShift Service Mesh on x86 dual-stack clusters only. The feature remains technology preview on all other platforms.
This epic is to capture tasks related to bringing support for OSSM on dual-stack OpenShift clusters to generally available(GA).
This includes completing any necessary tasks to ensure we:
- Validate OSSM on dual-stack clusters for all future releases via automated testing
- Have a means to troubleshoot support cases on dual-stack environments in a timely manner.
- Complete any necessary upstream tasks, such that we are satisfied of our ability to support the feature. This is an engineering judgement call, but if we do not have any reasons to "not" support dual-stack, and we just feel that it may need more "soak time", then we should likely declare it GA as most customers will not start using the feature until it is GA.
- Document using OSSM on a dual-stack cluster:
- If a flag needs to be set, that should be part of the installation instructions (this is the case today, but it sounds like that may be removed)
- Otherwise, dual-stack clusters should be included in supported platforms and a release note.
