      Outcome Overview

Enhance existing support for IPv6 single-stack (IPv6-only) across all OpenShift components in order to meet or exceed the CY2025 U.S. Federal mandate.

      Success Criteria

Each OpenShift component team has implemented CI and QE for IPv6 single-stack capability and support.

      Expected Results (what, how, when)

      • Identification of gaps in OpenShift components and layered products where IPv6 single-stack readiness is missing or incomplete.
      • Identify gaps that can be resolved in 4.20 planning and create associated Jira tickets.
      • Enhanced documentation specifying which features of OpenShift components do not support, have partial support, or fully support IPv6 single-stack for each possible installation configuration, to include:
        • OpenShift release version
        • Installation type (e.g. Interactive (Assisted installer), Local agent-based, Automated (IPI), Full Control (UPI), etc.)
        • Platform (including managed platforms)

Post Completion Review – Actual Results

Increased IPv6 single-stack readiness at OpenShift 4.20, and staged planning/roadmaps to complete readiness in CY2026.
