[Data sovereignty][Access requests] The pending access requests count didn't get updated as expected from ROSA cluster.

    • ACM Console Sprint 265

      Description of the Problem

In a ROSA cluster, the access requests get updated dynamically but pending access requests count indication on the tab didn't update based on the same. This is also the case for both

      1. A new access requests tagged to the cluster when user is in access requests tab.
      2. Existing access request(s) are approved or denied by the user from the tab.

See the recording attached :Screen Recording 2025-01-13 at 5.22.35 PM.mov

Note: To update the pending access count definition you need to navigate to another tab and comes back. Also the issue wasn't reproduced in production hence suspecting related to multiregion definition.

      How reproducible:

      Always

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Open OCM UI staging
      2. Open a ready ROSA HCP cluster.
      3. Go to "Access requests" tab.
      4. Create some access requests for the cluster.
      5. Refresh the cluster (make sure you are still in "Access requests" tab)
      6. See the pending access request count on the tab.
      7. Approve or deny the access request from the tab.
      8. See the pending access request count on the tab.

      Actual results:

At step 6 & 8, The pending access request count on "Access requests" tab didn't update.

      Expected results:

At step 6 & 8, The pending access request count on "Access requests" tab should update and show correctly to the user. i.e.
At step 6, Pending access request count should be 1.
At step 8, Pending access request count should be 0 after approve or deny action.
