"Abhishek Gupta wrote:
Once delete protection is enabled for a cluster, the backend will not allow the cluster to be deleted using any client [API, CLI, UI]. The delete protection on the cluster will need to be disabled before the cluster can be deleted."
UX Slack thread on this feature
Initial UX notes:
- pkreuser wrote ...ability to turn this protection on/off per cluster via the UI, somewhere in the day 2 interactions, maybe in the cluster details?
Abhishek Gupta: Yes... interaction can be through the action menu from the cluster list or cluster details... status (deletion protection) can be on the overview page...we could show a "lock" icon next to the cluster name in the cluster list as well if deletion protection is enabled for at-a-glance view - Ability to set this on Day1 during cluster creation wizard is a nice to have, probably a follow up.
