OVN will be GA within the 4.6 release, we need to include testing to verify this works, address any issues and whitelist it as a supported provider. The network type is OVNKubernetes.

[MAISTRA-1946] Add support for OVN networking

Closing this issue as the engineering effort has been done within Service Mesh.  There is an outstanding bug in the OVN codebase which still needs to be addressed, there is a separate QE task tracking this.

Not at present, that's a separate discussion which has been going on for some time. This is only to whitelist OVN.

We should probably also modify the logic to configure NetworkPolicy or None by default, if the provider is unknown, as it will at least allow the installation to succeed and users can then workaround any issues with their custom provider.

I created an OVN based OpenShift installation and ran some basic tests with a modified operator, there were no issues found. We should take a look at running the full suite of tests to see if there are any edge cases.

The test was based on the 1.1.10 codebase but will be addressed in 2.0, with some minor changes needed to whitelist the provider.
