We have automation for creating release notes for EC and RC builds that relies on a user with write permission to the git repository running the script at the right time. Can we create a periodic job to run the same script and create the release pages on github automatically?
The script needs write access to the repo to push a tag and then create the release. It currently gives the user commands to run to do the tagging so it should be updated to do that automatically. Then it should create and publish a release on github for that tag using the pre-release flag to mark the releases as not final.
