*USER STORY:*

As an OpenShift engineer, I want to support the Alibaba Cloud team to propose an enhancement for Alibaba IPI so that they can get early feedback on the architecture decisions and proposals.

*DESCRIPTION:*

Before writing any code for Alibaba IPI, an OpenShift Enhancement should be written that covers the design of the proposed integration. This will provide an opportunity for early feedback from Red Hat on some of the key decisions that need to be made.

The SPLAT team member will support Alibaba engineering and give directions for both building the document that will serve as the proposal as well as shepherding it through the PR/feedback/approval/merge process.

*Required:*

Of course there's no need to provide every single detail of the proposed architecture in the design document (most of it is unknown at such an early stage), but as much as possible the enhancements template should be filled and the following items should be detailed:

• Load balancer design
• Network isolation
• DNS domain handling
• Cloud-specific install-config.yaml options
• High-level credentials minter / role management definition

*ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA:*

Enhancement PR reviewed by a reasonable group of engineers and merged.
