Description of problem:
When managing repositories using an Activation Key in Red Hat Satellite 6, selecting the checkbox in the table header only selects repositories visible on the current page. If repositories span multiple pages, the administrator must manually navigate to each page and repeat the selection process. This behavior becomes inefficient and error-prone in environments with a large number of repositories.
How reproducible:
Always reproducible.
Is this issue a regression from an earlier version:
No. This is existing and expected behavior in current Satellite versions.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log in to the Red Hat Satellite Web UI -> Navigate to Administer -> Settings -> General tab -> Set Entries per page to a value lower than the total number of repositories added to an Activation Key (for example, 35).
2. Navigate to Content -> Activation Keys -> Go to the Repositories tab -> Click the checkbox in the tale header to select repositories.
Actual behavior:
Only the repositories visible on the current page are selected. Repositories on subsequent pages remain unselected, requiring the user to manually navigate to each page and repeat the selection process.
Expected behavior:
The UI should provide a way to select all repositories across all pages, or offer a clear option to apply the selection globally rather than only to the current page.
Business Impact / Additional info:
- In large Red Hat Satellite environments, repositories commonly span multiple pages.
- Administrators must repeatedly navigate pages and reapply selections, resulting in a time-consuming and frustrating workflow.
- A global selection option would significantly improve usability and administrative efficiency.
