This negatively impacts customer operations and the overall health of the satellite system. We propose enhancements to increase visibility and simplify the management of orphaned repositories.

Proposed Enhancements:

1. Prominent Warning Banner on Web UI:
   Add a red banner on the Satellite Web UI login screen that alerts users to orphaned repositories, similar to how the "End of Life" banner is used. This would ensure the issue is immediately visible to the user upon login and prioritized for resolution.

• • Updated Banner Wording: Replace the term "Orphaned" with "Subscription(s) unavailable to use one or more enabled repositories." This change aims to clearly communicate the issue as related to subscription unavailability, making it more user-friendly and actionable.

1. Email Notifications for Orphaned Repositories:
   Introduce email notifications to notify users when orphaned repositories are detected. These notifications would include:

• • Clear, actionable instructions on how to resolve the issue (e.g., renewing or associating the necessary subscriptions).
