Background
During each interop test milestone, we experience numerous failures within the RH Cloud test automation. These failures stem from two primary sources:
- Instability of features under test
- Instability of the test suite itself
This situation requires associates to spend significant time reviewing test failures before they can sign off on test milestones, creating inefficiencies and delaying other work to be completed.
Goals
- Review interop-marked tests: Evaluate all tests currently marked for interop collection
- Remove non-RHEL dependent tests: If a test does not have a direct dependency on RHEL, remove it from interop collection
- Clean up low-value tests: Identify and remove tests that:
- Do not deliver customer value
- Are consistently failing
- Add maintenance burden without corresponding benefit
Acceptance Criteria
- All tests marked for interop have been reviewed
- Tests without direct RHEL dependencies have been removed from interop collection
- Low-value, failing tests have been identified and removed
- Test suite shows measurable reduction in noise/false failures for next interop milestone
