Description of problem:
Comma separation does not work when specifying multiple hosts in the new Remote Execution Job invocation wizard on Red Hat Satellite 6.x. It does only work in the legacy form of the wizard.
How reproducible:
Always reproducible on Red Hat Satellite 16.6 and later.
Is this issue a regression from an earlier version:
No.
Steps to Reproduce:
- In the Satellite web UI, navigate to Monitor -> Jobs.
2. Click on the Run Job button on the top right.
3. In the Target hosts and inputs step in the wizard, type an expression like this one to select multiple hosts:
name ^ (host3, host4, host5, host12, host13, host14, host24, host25, host26)
Notice that the wizard still shows that the job will apply to 0 hosts, which means that the filter did not work as expected.
Actual behavior:
Zero hosts are filtered by the an expression like:
name ^ (host3, host4, host5, host12, host13, host14, host24, host25, host26)
Expected behavior:
The hosts specified in the expression should be filtered correctly.
Business Impact / Additional info:
User inconvenience, since as per the Red Hat Satellite official documentation as well as Red Hat Knowledge base content, comma separation should work in the described scenario. And the expectation is that, if it works in the legacy form of the wizard, it should also work in the new form.
