Goal:

Following the initial spike in SAT-40307 this is to build a proof of concept with the lessons learned. It should serve as a base to build concrete UI designs and test out further implementation details.

Acceptance criteria:

• Sufficient input for a designer to come up with screens that are needed
• A recommendation on whether to adopt omniauth or stick with plain openid_connect
• Any thoughts on migrating existing users
