How to reproduce:
- Have a content-view with the following repositories:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 for x86_64 - AppStream Kickstart 10.0 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 for x86_64 - BaseOS Kickstart 10.0 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 for x86_64 - AppStream Kickstart 10.1 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 for x86_64 - BaseOS Kickstart 10.1
- Create a parent host-group and fill in these details in "Operating System" tab:
Architecture: x86_64 Operating system: RedHat 10.0 Media Selection: Synced Content Synced Content: Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux_10_for_x86_64_-_BaseOS_Kickstart_10_0
- Create a child host-group and configure it to inherit from the parent host-group.
- In the parent host-group change "Operating system" to "RedHat 10.1" and click "Submit".
- Open child host-group, navigate to "Operating System" tab and you will see "Synced Content" incorrectly refers to Kickstart 10.0:
Architecture: Inherit parent (x86_64)
Operating system: Inherit parent (RedHat 10.1)
Media Selection: Synced Content
Synced Content: Inherit parent (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 for x86_64 - BaseOS Kickstart 10.0)
Actual Results:
- Provisioning new systems using the child host-group fails unless you manually fix "Synced Content" and make it point to Kickstart 10.1.
Expected Results:
- Updating configuration of parent host-group should successfully propagate to child host-group(s).
