Problem Statement

To configure a Satellite to synchronize content over a network Satellite, you must follow the prerequisites:

• The upstream user is an admin or has the following permissions:
      view_organizations
      view_products
      export_content
      view_lifecycle_environments
      view_content_views 

Once granted, this would enable administrators outside of the upstream server organization to potentially make changes to the server.

The goal is to provide a certificate that grants access to the upstream server's content while minimizing the need for administrators to provide credentials.

Following the current workflow requires providing access to the upstream server.

Requirements

Using a certificate (such as an organization's debug certificate or ueber certs), we could avoid potential changes to the upstream server.

Business Impact

High, high-level administrators may not be able to provide admins access to distribute the content.
