      Problem Statement

Currently, in the Create Image form:

      • The Libvirt provider displays Image path as a textbox.
      • The VMware provider (and others) display Image as a dropdown.

These fields are not aligned, causing a UI/UX inconsistency across providers. The goal is to align the textbox with the dropdown and ensure consistent positioning across providers.

      User Experience & Workflow

      • Compute Resource Setup
        • User first creates a Compute Resource (Libvirt, VMware, or others).
        • Alternatively, the user can select an already existing Compute Resource.
      • Navigate to Image Creation
        • User navigates to Compute Resources → Images → Create Image.
      • Fill Basic Details
        • User enters Name, selects Operating System, Architecture, and Username.
      • Image Field Interaction
        • For Libvirt: User enters the full path of the backing image into the Image path textbox.
        • For VMware (and other providers): User selects an image from a dropdown.

      Requirements

      • Align the Image path textbox (Libvirt) with the Image dropdown (VMware and others).
      • Ensure consistent field label placement (Image / Image path) across providers.

      Business Impact

If this feature is not included:

      • User confusion: Inconsistent UI may confuse users switching between compute resources, leading to errors in image selection or path entry.
      • Increased support burden: Users may raise unnecessary support requests due to unclear differences in provider fields.
