      • satellite-6.15

      Phenomenon:

      • When creating the users, the 'Email Address' field is empty, the user will enter a page and be required to fill in the 'Email Address' on the first login. [Please refer to first_login.png]
      • Reproduce Step:

satellite 6.15 UI --> Administer --> Users --> Create User

      1. Don't fill in the field 'Email Address', let it empty. (Please refer to create_process.png)

      2. Logout, then login the new user, you will enter to the 'edit user info' page [Please refer to first_login.png].

      Queries:

      • Why remove this feature after satellite 6.15?

      --------------
      Opinions:

      • Customers want the user will change their password when they first login to this account. And I think this requirement is ok, because the user should have their own password, even the administrator can edit their password. So the 'first_login.png' let the customer to misunderstand, they think this page is used for them to change their password.
      • But I also know, currently, we do not have any such password policy enforcement for Satellite 6.
