      Description of problem:

When a user expands and scrolls within the sub-menus of several sections in the left navigation, clicking on any sub-item within these sections causes the entire navigation scrollbar to jump back to the very top. This forces the user to re-scroll down every time they click a sub-item to continue interacting with content further down, severely impacting user experience and efficiency. This behavior is inconsistent with expected UI patterns.

      How reproducible:

Is this issue a regression from an earlier version:

       6.16, 6.17

      Steps to Reproduce:

1.Navigate to the application where the left navigation bar is visible.
2.Click to expand the "Hosts" main menu in the left navigation.
3.Click to expand any of the following sub-menus (which often have enough content to require scrolling):

      • "Provisioning Setup"
      • "Templates"
      • "Compliance"
        4. Alternatively, click to expand the "Content" main menu in the left navigation.
        5. Click to expand any of the following sub-menus (which often have enough content to require scrolling):
      • "Lifecycle"
      • "Content Types"
        6. If the chosen sub-menu content extends beyond the current view, scroll down within that sub-menu to make its lower sub-items visible.
        7. Click (or attempt to click) a sub-item that is currently below the visible scroll area, requiring you to have scrolled down to see it.
        8. Observe: The entire left navigation scrollbar immediately jumps back to the very top.
        9. At this point, if you need to continue interacting with content below the item you just clicked, you must scroll the navigation bar down again.

      Actual behavior:
[Describe the issue in detail, including what is happening and where]

After clicking a sub-item within the specified sections, the left navigation scrollbar forcibly jumps back to the top, requiring the user to re-scroll to continue their operations.

While this issue does not cause a functional crash, it represents a clear usability problem. The repetitive and unexpected scrolling required negatively impacts user efficiency and can be a source of frustration during navigation within key areas of the application.

      Expected behavior:
[Describe what should be happening instead]

When a user clicks on a sub-item within "Provisioning Setup", "Templates", "Compliance" (under "Hosts"), or "Lifecycle", "Content Types" (under "Content"), the scroll position of the left navigation bar should be maintained, or intelligently positioned around the clicked item, rather than forcibly resetting to the top.
