These two appendix sections currently give the impression that the documented configuration is fully supported:
- Appendix B. Applying custom configuration to Red Hat Satellite: https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/red_hat_satellite/6.16/html-single/installing_satellite_server_in_a_connected_network_environment/index#applying-custom-configuration_satellite
- Appendix C. Restoring manual changes overwritten by a Puppet run: https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/red_hat_satellite/6.16/html-single/installing_satellite_server_in_a_connected_network_environment/index#restoring-manual-changes-overwritten-by-a-puppet-run_satellite
We should set the expectations better. The configuration is not entirely fully supported and it is not meant to be encouraged. Following the instructions might help but in future this is internal API which may change without backward compatibility consideration.
Note that hiding the appendices completely was suggested as a solution but this is not what we want. The goal is rather to explain the context and set expectations appropriately.
