Problem Statement

Our customer requests to add a new filter option to the Satellite view "Configure -> RH Cloud --> Insights" that enables them to filter for hosts in a certain lifecycle_environment.

User Experience & Workflow

• Using the view at "Configure -> RH Cloud --> Insights" the customer would like to filter the list of hosts and recommendations
• They would like to use the search string: title = "<title of recommendation>" AND lifecycle_environment = <lifecycle_environment name>
• The search should return a list of hosts that contains all hosts from the specified lifecycle_environment for which the specified recommendation is applicable
• The list won't contain hosts from the specified lifecycle_environment where the specified recommendation is not applicable
• The list won't contain hosts from other lifecycle_environments than the specified one where the recommendation is applicable
• Additional filter criteria, e.g. hostgroup, host collection, etc. are a good idea, too.

Requirements

• The customer is able to use the desired search string and checks the resulting table if it contains the desired hosts
• MVP: Search string: title = "<title of recommendation>" AND lifecycle_environment = <lifecycle_environment name>
• Additional parameter are nice to have and might be important to other customers

Business Impact

If this feature is not going to be implemented, the customer would have to use some workaround including more manual steps to achieve the desired outcome. This would have a negative impact to the user experience.
