Problem Statement

A user has requested that the fix for https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-19024 be backported to Satellite 6.13 and 6.14.

User Experience & Workflow

While both a workaround and hotfix for this currently exist, the user has described the process of dealing with hotfixes as "notoriously painful to work with on an update or upgrade".

Requirements

A new version of rubygem-smart_proxy_remote_execution_ssh with the fix for https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-19024 to be made available in both repos:

• satellite-6.13-for-rhel-8-x86_64-rpms
• satellite-6.14-for-rhel-8-x86_64-rpms
