Description of problem:

The feature to override the ansible variable is not working as expected. When trying to override the variable value, it's not working.

How reproducible:

100%

Is this issue a regression from an earlier version:

I'm pretty confident, once I used this long ago.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a small role and/or import some role that you have already

2. Deploy it to confirm it's working properly

3. Try to edit/override some variables of this role

Actual behavior:
The variable it still the same

Expected behavior:
Be able to see the new value deployed properly on the content host
