Problem Statement

Currently, the "Site Manager" role in Satellite allows users to add or delete hosts but does not permit changing the content view of hosts. Our customer requires a non-admin user to be able to change the content view of hosts without having full administrative rights.

Requirements

1. Role Enhancement:
   • Update the "Site Manager" role to include permissions for changing content views of hosts.
2. Alternative Role:
   • If modifying the existing role is not feasible, consider creating a new role that grants only the privilege to change content views of hosts, while restricting other admin capabilities.

Business Impact

 Granting full administrative or managerial privileges to users for the sole purpose of changing content views poses unnecessary security risks. It increases the potential for accidental or malicious changes to critical system settings.
