To Do
Problem Statement
To create a custom repository with multiple upstream URLs on Red Hat Satellite.
User Experience & Workflow
Currently, we can create a custom repository where we can add only single Upstream URL on Satellite however, the customer is looking for an option to add multiple Upstream URLs for a custom repository.
Requirements
To use rabbit-mq product/repositories where noticed that all of the rabbitmq.repo dnf repo configuration files have three baseurl lines instead of just one, as might be expected, and that it did not contain a mirrorlist url as one might expect for multiple mirrors., and currently the Satellite server would not accept more than one base URL declaration.
Since the Repo maintainers have felt the need to have multiple baseurls we would also like be able to configure satellite to use multiple base url's to provide the redundancy that the maintainers of the rabit-mq related repositories feel needs to be configured to receive their product updates.
Example of the rabbitmq repository configured:
-----------------------------------------------------------
[rabbitmq-el9]
name=rabbitmq-el9
baseurl=https://yum2.novemberain.com/rabbitmq/el/9/$basearch
https://yum1.novemberain.com/rabbitmq/el/9/$basearch
https://dl.cloudsmith.io/public/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-server/rpm/el/9/$basearch
repo_gpgcheck=1
enabled=1
