Description of problem:
Every task completion - even successful, even invoked outside WebUI - generates a notification causing WebUI bell icon gets changed. On more busy Satellites, this would make the notifications "too spammy", generating more noise than useful information.
When I tried to disable or configure the notifications feature, WebUI offers me just disable RSS feed or change its URL. But even then, invoking a task from hammer that completes sucessfully, WebUI shows a new notification. Both the can be seen as scenarios wit unwanted / unexpected notifications. (i.e. user story "I want to see notifications I invoked in WebUI only" or namely "I want to see notifications from failed stuff only".
For me as a user, the notifications are currently so frequent that I wanted to disable them completely - but there is no option for that.
So, please make the notifications more selectable - either add ability to switch all of them or e.g. option to notifyuser about failed actions or some other reasonable filter.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Sat 6.15 "beta" (snap 3)
How reproducible:
100%
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login to WebUI, see no pending notifications.
2. Via hammer (under the same user), invoke a job/task that succeeds soon.
3. Refresh WebUI and check notifications.
4. Try to disable all / some notifications.
Actual results:
3. A new notification "under the hood" appears.
4. No way to disable or restrict notifications.
Expected results:
Depends on implementation that I dont insist on a particular granularity of filtering/disabling notifications.
Additional info:
I am not a great at finding real user stories and my experience can be subjective. So feel free to implement this in either way.
