      Document URL:

      https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_satellite/6.9/html-single/release_notes/index#release_information

      Section Number and Name:

      Chapter 5. Release Information

Either "5.1. Enhancements" or "5.4. Removed Functionality", wherever it fits better.

      Describe the issue:

Starting from Satellite 6.9.0, For any new satellite, simple content access feature is by default enabled but for existing, users will have the choice to do so from satellite UI only. This part is well documented as well.

But, After Enabling SCA on Satellite 6.9, the following behavioral changes are present:

      • In Satellite GUI, the Only thing that can be done with Subscriptions is with the manifest i.e. all actions on Content --> Subscriptions page is intact.
      • But for any Activation Key or Content Hosts, The tab for "Subscription" management\add\remove will be invisible\removed\disabled from the user's view.
      • There is no way to perform any manual subscription attachment\removal to\from any Host or Activation keys as well from Satellite UI.
      • All bulk actions related to "Manage Subscriptions" will be disabled automatically.
      • From host collection also "Subscription Management" will be disabled automatically.

      Suggestions for improvement:

This is a very important change in UI made in Satellite 6.9+ and should be documented somewhere properly.
