2020 Week 04-06 (from Jan 20)
After close a case, expectation is that reopen it would simply resume from the point in which it was closed, however, right now, a new process instance is created, and the case start at the beginning/start entry point.
This means milestones that have been previously been achieved will be retriggered (if adhoc autostart) and existing human tasks are forgotten.
it looks as case is recreated rather than reopened.
Is there a way to simply resume from a closed/cancelled cases existing state rather than starting afresh?
Persisting the process instance behind the case on close/cancel we will be able to just move to back to the same place. Seems cases are not meant to work that way and the only option is to leave the case instance intact and use milestones to track the case state.
Can this be provided by our product instead of being a custom design
