Feature Overview 

Define and test the storage adoption procedure for 17.1 DCN environments that are using ceph at the edge sites. Initial feature goal can beTech Preview and the main consideration is the ability to have a path for our early DCN adoption customers even if we need more time to reach full GA support.

Goals

• Today DCN 17.1 customers cannot adopt to RHOSO 18. This feature aims at providing a procedure to allow DCN with ceph at the edge to adopt RHOSO18.
• Tech-Preview customer docs if possible

Requirements

Done - Acceptance Criteria and Use Case

1. Ability to adopt a 17.1 DCN with HCI-Ceph configuration to RHOSO 18, following a documented and tested procedure

Out of Scope 

• Non Ceph storage at the edge

Documentation Considerations

• TP for now, will need to be included in the broader DCN adoption doc for fully supported release.  Ideally we complete the customer facing docs as Tech Preview as soon as feasible to improve the TP experience and put the feature in the best position to graduate to GA as soon as CI is complete
