rhos-workloads-compute
This feature is targeted to track all AMD confidential computing needs, including but not exhaustively :
- AMD SEV (already supported in RHOSO18)
- AMD SEV-ES
- AMD SEV-SNP
And also Intel TDX as an alternative for other types of CPUs
All those three AMD features are already supported by libvirt and QEMU. We need to find out if Intel TDX is also supported.
Upstream Nova effort will be done by some other non-Red Hat contributor but we need to review the modifications.
Eventually, we could also track AMD CCA but for the moment, no hardware is supporting it yet and QEMU doesn't support it too (probably in 2027-2028).
