EPIC Goal
Improve the workflows in overlay repo - testing, updating.
Smoke tests
- The current status of the smoke tests in relation to the e2e plugin tests should be discussed:
Scope of the tests
- currently only checking for successful plugin loading messages within install container logs.
- errors caused by missing configuration are ignored - no check for missing appconfig section
- checking of basic UI components loading already covered by plugin e2e tests
- smoke tests could be passed if ran the e2e on the pr
