When running the code with merged yum transactions (https://github.com/oamg/convert2rhel/pull/528) it has installation of a RHEL kernel as one of the last steps. It might fail though like this:
Running scriptlet: kernel-core-4.18.0-372.19.1.el8_6.x86_64 3/3
cp: error writing '/boot/initramfs-4.18.0-372.19.1.el8_6.x86_64.img': No space left on device
dracut: dracut: creation of /boot/initramfs-4.18.0-372.19.1.el8_6.x86_64.img failed
What follows is an unbootable system.
Possible issues
- After merging transactions PR (
RHELC-576) is merged, we seemingly don't get this output anymore even if the issue occurs. This might make it more troublesome with catching it and letting the customer know
Acceptance criteria:
- the message about no space left is caught and a warning message with some basic instructions how to resolve it is printed to the user
- depends on
