With the EUS compatible releases, we have introduced a fallback option for when customers use the --eus option, but do not have EUS repositories available through their offerings/subscriptions.
The fallback handles the subscription-manager exit, when the repositories are not available and tries to enable regular repositories instead.
With ELS, we do not fall back to regular repoids, we just exit the conversion providing the subscription-manager exit message.
Reproducer:
- on ELS compatible systems run convert2rhel analyze --els
- use credentials without ELS offering (RHSM_USERNAME, RHSM_PASSWORD from convert2rhel-secrets)
Acceptance criteria:
duplicate the portion of code handling unavailable EUS repositories for ELS repositories enablement as well
EDIT:
OR- remove the fallback logic for EUS repositories enablement
