What were you trying to do that didn't work?
Try to click the 'Cancel' button during the installation of the installer bundle. QE found that the update progress after the NIC is flashed to lose the IP address and upgrade to the new version.
Please provide the package NVR for which the bug is seen:
virtiofsd-1.10.1-1.el9.x86_64
qemu-kvm-9.0.0-6.el9.x86_64
edk2-ovmf-20240524-1.el9.noarch
seabios-bin-1.16.3-2.el9.noarch
kernel-5.14.0-479.el9.x86_64
virtio-win-prewhql-0.1-262
How reproducible:
100%
Steps to reproduce
1. start install the installer bundle in a new windows guest, such as win2025.
2. during the drivers were installing, click the 'Cancel' button
3. after the cancel procedure is finished, check whether the IP is saved or not
Expected results: Cancel the update after the NIC is flashed to retain the IP address and do not upgrade to the new version
Actual results: Cancel the update after the NIC is flashed to lose the IP address and upgrade to the new version
