      VDO's recovery journal format changed between version 8.2.x and 8.3.x, which produces upgrade challenges for VDO volumes. Specifically VDO volumes should be clean before being upgraded to the version in kernel 6.9.

      • Add a leapp integration to guide users to correctly clean all volumes before upgrading to RHEL 10.
      • Improve the handling of the dirty-upgrade scenario to make it easier for customers to recover from that state. (Specifically, try to avoid puting VDO into read-only mode when it is not necessary.)
