What were you trying to do that didn't work?
In RHEL 9.3, after we launch an application from Activities Overview by pressing a modifier keys (like 'shift' or 'ctrl') and then releasing it, system assumes that the modifier keys are still pressed.
Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:
gnome-shell-40.10-13
How reproducible:
Always
Steps to reproduce
- Press the Super Key to open the Activities Overview.
- Type in any application name that you wish to open.
- Press on a modifier key (e.g: Ctrl or shift) and keep it pressed.
- Press enter to launch that application.
- After a second or so, release that modifier key.
Expected results
The modifier keys shouldn't be active once they are released.
Actual results
System behaves as if this modifier key which we pressed before is still active or is still pressed and behaves accordingly.
This can be verified by using the text editors, gnome-terminal, firefox tabs, etc.
