      2. Open "Extensions", enable "Desktop Icons".
      3. On the desktop, double tap or one tap the "Home" and "Trash" icons, nothing happens. Can't open them.
      4. # cp /usr/share/applications/org.gnome.Terminal.desktop /home/<user>/Desktop/
      5. On desktop, right click the desktop file, click "Allow Launching"

      7. Run $ gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background show-desktop-icons true , doesn't help.

      Expected results

Double tap gesture works on wayland.

Since the X.org display server is deprecated, customer is testing his touch screen on RHEL 9 wayland.
