What were you trying to do that didn't work?
GNOME/GLib/GVfs uses the x-gvfs-show and x-gvfs-hide mount option to control visibility of the mounts in the UI and newly also the x-gvfs-notrash mount option to control which mounts are monitored by the gvfsd-trash daemon. It works fine e.g. for FAT, or EXT filesystems. Unfortunately, this doesn't work for NFS filesystem.
