Goal

• Store last list of zone names loaded from LDAP
  • For example: As a user, I want named to return SERVFAIL on zones it knows, until it has loaded data for it.
  • When named finishes loading of zone data, it should start answering with NOERROR status.

Acceptance criteria

A list of verification conditions, successful functional tests, or expected outcomes in order to declare this story/task successfully completed.

• Verify list of zones is saved on shutdown
• Verify list of zones is loaded immediately at startup, in named.conf configuration phase.
• Verify when named starts answering queries, it will already respond for its authoritative zones with AA flag. It might not respond successfully until zone data are loaded.
