       Problem

There are 4 "buckets" AI-related efforts in the organization should fall into (see below). We need to be able to represent the work we are doing in Jira according to the 4 "buckets".

      Suggested Solution

Apply a label to each jira outcome, initiative, or feature (no need for more granular stories) indicating which AI bucket this fits into.

Use AI to review each outcome, initiative, and feature in HCM jira projects to infer which bucket the jira belongs to. It should not be necessary for a human to review and categorize every issue.

      Resources

We have precedent for this type of operation against jira, inferring categorization:

Automated Diagnostics & Root Cause Analysis: To build systems that don't just alert us to problems, but help us triage or solve them proactively. Our goal is to drastically reduce our mean time to resolution (MTTR) and empower engineers to focus on building, not fixing.

Task Automation & Workflow Generation: To eliminate manual toil and accelerate our delivery pipelines. We will automate repetitive tasks, generate boilerplate code, and streamline complex workflows, giving our developers back their most valuable resource: time.

Automated Reporting & Summarization: To transform raw data into instant, actionable intelligence. From summarizing release notes and incident reports to generating project status updates, we will ensure every stakeholder has the clear, concise information they need, when they need it.

Infrastructure & Frameworks: To build the robust, scalable platforms that will underpin all our AI initiatives. We will create the "highways" that make it easy for every engineer to leverage AI tools securely, reliably, and effectively.
