1. Proposed title of this feature request
Enable Hyper-V Enlightenments by default
2. What is the nature and description of the request?
Update the Windows Guest VM templates and catalog items to include Hyper-V enlightenment enabled by default
3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
Hyper-V enlightenment significantly improve the performance of Windows Guest VMs on OpenShift Virtualization. There appears to be no reason not to enable them. Customer often do not realize that this need to be configured and instead see poor performance on their Windows Guest VMs and attribute that to OpenShift and KVM.
Our RHEL KVM documentation has suggested this for some time now:
https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/red_hat_enterprise_linux/9/html/configuring_and_managing_virtualization/installing-and-managing-windows-virtual-machines-on-rhel_configuring-and-managing-virtualization?extIdCarryOver=true&sc_cid=RHCTG0180000371694#enabling-hyper-v-enlightenments_optimizing-windows-virtual-machines-on-rhel
4. List any affected packages or components.
