1. Proposed title of this feature request
As of yet Hosted Control Planes (HCP) - a.k.a. Hypershift - is not supporting importing existing RHOCP clusters into the HCP model, so one would need to create new RHOCP clusters from scratch with HCP/RHACM.
The propose is to implement such feature, so that any customer would be able to "click-and-import" control planes of an existing cluster, and get rid of old master nodes.
2. What is the nature and description of the request?
Currently there is no way to onboard existing control planes content from other RHOCP clusters
3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
HCP supports a number of architectures. Given so it's hard for any customers out there to create new clusters from scratch, especially on bare metal - think of capacity and the number of nodes involved. This RFE would be a huge game changer in any customers' adoption toward HCP, not requiring having spare HW beforehand their adoption journey.
4. List any affected packages or components.
Not sure about this. I think HCP as a whole and just that.
