Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
1. Proposed title of this feature request
Allow the creation of machines with multiple NICs in OCP IPI vSphere
2. What is the nature and description of the request?
According to Joseph Callen's comment in the bug the use of two interfaces in the machineset is not supported today. However, as described below, many customers need this configuration to communicate with storage or databases that run on networks without routing for information security reasons.
3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
Customers who have segregated networks for database or storage and the machines need to have communication on these networks.
One solution would be to add a second interface and configure IP addressing with NMSTATE.
This is a real situation we have with a large customer in Brazil.
4. List any affected packages or components.
