What problem/issue/behavior are you having trouble with? What do you expect to see?
Currently the agent-based installer only supports "none" platform to deploy SNO clusters [1].
"If none is used as a platform, the number of control plane replicas must be 1 and the total number of worker replicas must be 0."

We would like it to support compact (3 Masters) or HA clusters (3 Masters, N Workers).
Our idea is to use it do deploy the control plane nodes on VMs in VMware and the Worker nodes on Bare Metal hosts.

There is already en EPIC open to implement this [2].

What is the business impact? Please also provide timeframe information.
We like the agent-based approach and we are planning to use it in our production deployments, but we can not use currently.
