Workaround: Instructors have a sample set of commands available in the IG to use for a demo. Students will see and type in the commands in the GE.
Description: Programming with the Management Interface
Example of JSON-RPC Requests Using curl (p77)
You show obtaining a cookie and saving that to a file but then no examples of using that cookie to get information from IdM or post a change to IdM.
Provide an additional screen block example with all the application/.json header options.
Is there anyplace in the documentation that shows a curl command interacting with the API? I have not found on yet? Only the GE provides the syntax for the students.

Step 4. Perform the request using the curl command and the req_show_demo.json file.
I know this is a summary of the demo steps listed in the IG. But the rest of the text in this section has no sample either. Having a sample earlier in the section would resolve this issue.
