      Workaround:

Description: The narration here spends an awful lot of time on describing an alternative solution that is actually discouraged by Red Hat.

Please see the product documentation (Windows integration guide section 1.3) .

"In some integration scenarios, the user synchronization may be the only available option, but in general, use of the synchronization approach is discouraged in favor of the cross-realm trust-based integration."

This content was lifted almost verbatim from the product documentation which means we are not adding much value here (No exercise either). In the process, a silly mistake got introduced on p.227:
"From your Microsoft customer portal, select the most recent version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and click the PassSync Installer link to your Active Directory server."
The package actually needs to be downloaded from the Red Hat Customer Portal. Look for the WinSync Installer (64-bit) link under RHEL-related downloads.

My recommendation would be to reduce this section drastically explaining the limitations of the approach and referencing product documentation for specific details.
