Workaround: No workaround needed, concept definition expansion
Description: #REF!
Description: The description for
"Configure this scheduling policy to avoid slot reservation on the SPM host"
could use a basic example to better explain the concept.
SpmVmGrace is described in Section 9.3 of the course:
"The SpmVmGrace property defines how many 'less' virtual machines run on the
SPM host. The default value is 5."
This implies the SPM host will always have 5 less VMs running compared to other non-SPM hosts to ensure it is able to support SPM needs.
Additionally, reading the RHV documentation states:
SpmVmGrace: Defines the number of slots for virtual machines to be
reserved on SPM hosts. The SPM host will have a lower (VM) load than other
hosts, so this variable defines how many fewer virtual machines than other
hosts it can run.
As Example 1: Default SpmVmGrace=5 and "10" set for
HighVmCount, then the SPM would only be able to run no more than 5 VM's compared to all other non-SPM hosts.
As Example 2: Assign SpmVmGrace=2 and "10" set for
HighVmCount, then the SPM would only be able to run 8 VM's (which is 2
fewer than any other host).
